Shefali Desai
Shefali is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 15 years of clinical experience. She started her career working in the NHS in one of London's largest and most well-reputed teaching hospitals, where she gained a wealth of experience and worked collaboratively with leading Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Sports/Exercise Medicine consultants.
In 2015 she moved into the world of private practice and has since grown personally and professionally, working in positions of clinical leadership to help successfully run thriving Physiotherapy companies in central London and Hertfordshire.
Working in the City has allowed Shefali to expand her professional network and contribute positively within corporate ergonomics and the health and wellbeing space of the community around her.
Clinically, Shefali particularly enjoys treating spinal, shoulder and lower limb problems and with this comes the opportunity to help people of all ages and physical activity levels with injuries originating from a variety of sports, or occupational/everyday activities. She has significant experience of treating clients with pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions and since becoming a mum herself, she is a big advocate for supporting women through the both the ante and post-natal period.
Shefali firmly believes in her mission to work with clients through Physiotherapy; helping them to achieve their goals and lead happier, more active lives. She provides a completely holistic and bespoke approach to each client assessment, advice and treatment pathway.
She champions an exercise/strength and conditioning approach to recovery and is trained in both 1:1 and group Pilates, as well as offering manual therapy, taping and shockwave therapy.
Outside of work, Shefali is a busy mum of two and is often out and about exploring new places and travelling with her family. When time allows, she loves nothing more than working on her own health and fitness; whether that be a weight training class, circuits, a high-intensity workout or Pilates.

Lizzi Lawrence
Lizzi is a qualified MSK Injury Rehabilitator with a First Class BSc from the University of Salford.
With 5 years of industry experience across professional sport, private clinics, and online rehab, she’s spent the last 3 years running her own private practice in Manchester.
Lizzi works with a wide range of clients, from managing osteoarthritis to guiding post-surgical hip replacements back to full function.
Alongside tailored rehab assessments and programming, Lizzi offers sports massage, passive stretching, and is qualified in Acupuncture & Dry Needling.
Lizzi is passionate about making rehab supportive, empowering, and pain free. Building strong rapport is at the heart of her approach as she wants clients to feel comfortable, understood, and confident.
By getting to the root cause of injury, she delivers high quality, individualised, evidence based care.
With a background in acting, sessions are engaging, upbeat, and never boring.
Outside the clinic, Lizzi is a yoga and Pilates lover (which heavily influences her rehab style), an avid traveller, and a keen baker. -

Dominick Williams
Dominick is an enthusiastic and personable Physiotherapist with extensive experience in a number of London leading hospitals.
His focus is post operative rehabilitation of injuries, the injured active every day individual is combined with his passion for helping people recover, strengthen and surpass their goalsThrough his diverse clinical experience, Dom takes great pride in assisting people with musculoskeletal and post surgical injuries and preventing future injuries through research based practice.
He is driven to help you become the best version of yourself and put the fun into functional rehab and recovery .

Alex Julien
Alex is a physiotherapist and someone who is passionate about injury rehab, prevention and education.
Alex completed his Masters in Fitness Science at York University in Canada before coming to the UK and completing his Masters of Physiotherapy at Brunel University of London in 2025.Alex has a profound love for sport and exercise in his personal and professional life. With experience in playing high level football, sporting experience in tennis and kickboxing and a current passion for powerlifting and Ultimate frisbee, Alex is no stranger to injuries as well both the mental and physical toll injuries can have on an individual.
These broad array of experiences provide Alex with first hand knowledge and understanding of the challenges injuries can impart and is something he strives to be mindful of during treatment.
Alex provides a strong, evidence-based approach to treatment using exercise rehabilitation with a mindset to empower patients and promote independence. He enjoys helping others gain the benefits of an active lifestyle and promoting safe movement. -

Ali Jawad
Ali is a highly skilled and approachable sports therapist with a BSc in Sports Therapy and over three years of experience in both private practice and professional sports settings.
He has worked with teams such as Barnet F.C. and London Bees F.C., delivering high-quality care to elite athletes.
In addition to his hands-on therapy work, Ali has also served as a case manager with Health Case Management Limited, where he coordinated care for clients with complex rehabilitation needs.This experience has enhanced his ability to take a holistic and structured approach to treatment planning and client support.
Ali’s personalised treatment style focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of pain, tightness, and injury.

Tom Atkins
Tom is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with a Master’s in Physiotherapy from Griffith University (2018).
Originally from the Gold Coast, Australia, Tom is currently working at Band 7 level within the NHS in Emergency Medicine, bringing a sharp diagnostic skillset and calm clinical presence to every patient interaction.
With a strong interest in spine and shoulder rehabilitation, Tom bridges the gap between pain and performance. Having worked closely alongside orthopaedic consultants, he has helped build patient communities that rehab together — creating environments where education, accountability, and shared progress drive better outcomes.
Tom’s approach blends evidence-based care with clear communication and structured progression. Whether supporting acute injuries in A&E or guiding complex shoulder and spinal cases back to high-level function, he focuses on restoring confidence, strength, and long-term resilience.
He’s passionate about performance-driven rehab — not just getting patients out of pain, but helping them move better, train smarter, and return stronger.
Outside of clinic life, Tom is a runner, golfer, committed ice-bath enthusiast, and a loyal Newcastle United supporter.

Selva Sundaram
Clinical Specialist Hand Therapist
Selva Sundaram is a highly experienced Clinical Specialist Hand Therapist with over 20 years of specialist practice in hand therapy within the UK. He qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2000 from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, India, and has since built an extensive career working across both NHS and private healthcare settings.
Selva is currently a key member of the Hand Trauma Unit at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and also practices privately at Recoverie Physiotherapy clinic, Oakwood. Throughout his career, he has treated a broad spectrum of traumatic and acquired conditions affecting the wrist and hand, delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.
He has completed extended specialist training through the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT) and has advanced expertise in the assessment and management of complex wrist and hand conditions. His clinical interests include fractures and soft tissue injuries of the wrist and hand, as well as acquired conditions such as tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, wrist tendinitis, and thumb tendinitis.
Selva specialises in custom thermoplastic and neoprene splinting for wrist and hand conditions following trauma and elective surgery. His specialist interventions include scar and oedema management, functional rehabilitation, and comprehensive patient education, with a strong focus on ergonomics and long-term self-management strategies.
He also has extensive experience in post-operative rehabilitation following elective hand procedures, including Dupuytren’s contracture release and trapeziectomy.
Selva works closely with hand and wrist surgeons to develop bespoke rehabilitation programmes tailored to each patient’s individual needs, functional goals, and recovery timelines.
A strong advocate for patient education, Selva is committed to empowering individuals to take an active role in their rehabilitation through knowledge, guided self-management, and ongoing clinical support.
Away from clinics, Selva is a devoted father & spends quality time with his family. -

Jay Chitre
Jay is a Physiotherapist with a Masters in Sports Medicine from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and a passion for helping individuals recover, rebuild, and reclaim their bodies.
With years of experience working in private clinics in the city and serving as the Lead Sports Physiotherapist for the rugby team CS Stags 1863, Jay has honed his expertise in sports rehabilitation and performance enhancement.
Jay’s career has been marked by a commitment to helping people of all activity levels – from weekend warriors to seasoned athletes – recover smarter, not just harder.
He has also been actively involved in the Jiu-Jitsu community, working with athletes to enhance their performance and prevent injuries. This hands-on experience keeps him grounded in the physical challenges his patients face and reinforces his belief in the importance of movement and strength.
Clinically, Jay specializes in sports rehabilitation, helping individuals recover from injuries, optimize performance, and return to the activities they love. He takes a holistic and personalized approach to each client, combining his knowledge of biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and manual therapy to create tailored treatment plans.
Jay is passionate about empowering his clients to move better, feel stronger, and live louder.Outside of work, Jay is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, an avid runner, and a drummer. These hobbies not only keep him active but also remind him why movement matters and inspire him to help others overcome their physical challenges.

Andrew Ghaly
Andrew is a physiotherapist who is passionate about all things injury rehab and performance health. Andrew completed his Masters in Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada before traveling to Australia to get his Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in 2017.
Since then he has spent time working in Sydney, Toronto, and now Perth. Having played American football and rugby union for most of his life, Andrew is no stranger to injury. He is acutely aware of the physical and mental challenges that patients face when injured, and he applies that first hand knowledge and understanding to his work.
Andrew works to empower clients to understand the rehab process and return to doing the things they love. He has a special interest and strong skillset in ACL injuries, both in reconstructive and non-operative treatment pathways, having had ACL surgery himself in 2019 and 2023.
Andrew is extremely passionate about bringing an elite level of rehab to the everyday athlete by combining a data-driven approach with strength and conditioning principles to help you bring the best version of yourself to the activities that are meaningful to you.
